[Bug 538874] [NEW] Flash extended browsers crash w/Daily Show

Effects:

Ubuntu 9.04 & 9.10 (Kubuntu, Xubuntu (and the following Ubuntu
derivatives - Mint, MintKDE, PC/OS Gnome, KDE & XFCE, & WattOS)

Symptoms:

Watching Daily Show causes Firefox to irrecoverably gray out (lock up).

However:

Using RPM derived Distros on the same hardware (same browser (#) and
same Flash extensions), like Fedora, PCLinuxOS, Mandriva and OpenSuse
does *not* result in lock ups.

I have observed this behavior on three of my laptops.

Also, some Ubuntu users (Forums) appear not to be troubled by this
symptom.

Am willing to provide further information, if desired, but will need
instructions (advanced beginner).
