I can confirm this.

The issue in question occurs sporadically, but it *always* occurs when
I'm composing a message. If I'm composing a new message or replying to
an old one, I can't view any E-mails except for the last one I had open.
I can click and double click as much as I want, but there's no use. I
can, however, open other E-mails by right clicking them and selecting
the "Edit as new" option.

I'd like to avoid reinstalling Thunderbird because I don't want to lose
my settings, but it doesn't seem like this error is very common.

For the record, I'm running Lucid and I'm using the latest version of
Thunderbird from the 10.04 repos.
