Hi :)

I really think you only need to install "Adblock Plus" to solve this.
After installing it you will need to close and reopen Firefox and choose
a "subscription" (free) such as Easylist.

To install "Adblock Plus" just go up to the menus in Firefox and choose

Tools - AddOns - "Get AddOns"

and type "Adblock Plus" into the search tool in there and choose to install it.
