Sorry for the late response.

I haven't run into the issue recently on the machine I experienced the
problem on.  I'm not sure which version of Ubuntu/Firefox fixed the
issue for me since I know of no way to reproduce the bug reliably.  I am
currently running Firefox 3.6.4 on Ubuntu 9.04.

I have another machine running Ubuntu 10.04 with Firefox 3.6.6 (x86_64),
and I have not run into this issue yet on that environment.
