This still happens for me in Lucid, with Firefox 3.6.6

Not sure what constitutes a low priority bug, but it's been an issue for
ages, and it is really annoying.  I typically open web pages by typing
(part of) the URL, and having to close the browser and opening it again
is very annoying.

The other issue where anything typed into either the address bar or the
search field gets deleted after 3-4 keystrokes is also VERY annoying.

Together this just makes Firefox feel buggy, having to restart it
multiple times a day to either use the address bar or the search box.
