I (Mr. Paul R. Alrick-) was not able to follow your instructions to me,
due to the facts that I could see no "system" where you told me to look
at and everything that followed that was meaningless (to me!). Following
is what I have found and I hope it is useful(?) to you:
http://www.google.com.tr/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-
US:official also the render mode: Quirks mode encoding: UTF-8
content: text/html; charset=UTF8. I wonder if (too) the following will
be of any use: Baslangic Sayfasi and/or Mozilla Hakkinda ?? The
version of Firefox was listed as 3.6, from what I could see of that
information. I am not real sure of what I could do to help fix this
problem/bug. Thank you. paulralrick at comcast.net

Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to see
your computer screen. Below I have included detailed instructions for
how you can get the information we need.

1. Ubuntu version
- In the top panel, go to System > About Ubuntu, then report back what version is shown there (should be something like 9.04 or 9.10).

2. Firefox version
- Please go to System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager
- Search for 'firefox' (you may need to search for 'firefox-3.5' if just 'firefox' doesn't show an installed version)
- Find which version of Firefox is installed (it will have a green box next to it)
- Please report back the full version number, including any extra letters or numbers after the initial version number (such as 3.5.8-nobinonly-*)
- To verify that this is indeed the version you are using, open Firefox, then go to Help > About Firefox
- Check that the version number you found in the Synaptic Package Manager matches the version number listed in About Firefox (at least the first few numbers, such as 3.5.8, or 3.6.2)

3. Start page
- Please start Firefox so that the Start Page is up
- Copy all of the text in the address bar, and paste it into your response

Please let me know if I need to clarify any of my instructions. Once we
have this information, we will begin to process this report. Thanks in
advance!

Status in “ubufox” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubufox

I (Mr. Paul R. Alrick-) am getting tired of seeing the Mozella Firefox
"Start Page" in another language that I have no idea what it is saying,
suggesting, or whatever else. I have tried to add an "add-0n" that was
suppose to translate that Start Page into English, but I haven't been
able to find it, even after the restarting (again, and again) of
Firefox. I wonder where the problem is originating from? Please look
into this problem, and this is the second email I sent you. Thank you.
