i installed ubuntu 9.04 updates after since firefox continues to display
a yellow bar at the top of the page saying

"Your browser has been updated and needs to be restarted" and a Restart button in its right corner..and a cross sign to close
the bar..

if i press Restart button on restart firefox again displays the same bar

AND if i close the bar by pressing cross sign the bar again appears
after few seconds..

so please tell me what should i do so that the bar is no longer
displayed or correct the problem..
