[Bug 693634] [NEW] Overlay Problem with Other Extensions

Public bug reported:

The Ubufox extension is somehow disrupting the installation of another
Firefox extension that I'm developing.

My extension includes an overlay that adds a right side sidebar to the
main browser window. When Firefox loads, the first time after installing
my extension, the side bar is not visible and checks with DOM Inspector
show that the overlay hasn't been properly applied. Restarting Firefox
again and it all works perfectly, and continues to work okay.

Disabling Ubufox makes the problem go away, my extension installs
properly straight away. I've also tested against Firefox running under
Fedora Linux (which includes no extra extensions) and on Windows, which
also works fine, so it does somehow seem to be related to Ubufox. I've
tested on a default install of Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10, and the problem
occurs with both.

I've trimmed my extension down to the absolute minimum possible, just
the sidebar overlay, with no javascript, and this simple test extension
is attached.

** Affects: ubufox
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
