I did the profile thing (via firefox -ProfileManger, and a complete
delete of .mozilla dir) and it made no difference.  I thought I didn't
have any extensions, but for some reason there's Prism for Firefox,
which I don't remember installing, and the Ubuntu pack.  I disabled
Prism, since I don't know what it is, and I'll see what happens from
there.
