[Bug 124351] Re: Firefox stops letting me type in new URIs in the address bar

I don't know if this is the same thing but it looks like it to some
degree...

Here's my issue:

When I try to type in a URL in the address bar, TWO things happen:

1. The moment I type in 2 or 3 letters, they all get highlighted. Then
when I type the next letter, the highlighted portion gets deleted. Thus
I can never type in a full URL.

2. The history of my URLs don't always appear.

NOTE: I often work with new tabs rather than new windows. The problems
above are not ALWAYS. And the moment I close the tab and re-open it, it
is USUALLY solved.
