I have just found the problem!!!

It was the add-on "Personas v1.5.3" (the one where you can add images to
your background and such)

I remembered after initially posting that i added it to firefox a week
or so ago.

I am considering this case closed... however if anyone wants to run an
analysis i will be glad o help, just tell me what to do.
