[Bug 555419] [NEW] Gears update and Linux Firefox not compatable

Using Linux  8.04  Kernel Linux 2.6.24-generic GNOME 2.22.3

When trying to install the latest version of Gears, get message that it
can not install because it is not compatable with version of Firefox
Version 3.0.18

This has been going on for a while.
