This problem is highly annoying.  All mouse clicks are ignored which
means no pausing, hitting full screen buttons etc.

The workaround described worked for me after I also uninstalled flash
via synaptic.  If it hadn't worked I would be switching back to Jaunty -
yes it matters that much.
