When I try to upgrade to karmic koala using jaunty jakalope's update
manager:

When I push 'Upgrade'  and enter my sudo password, it announces the download of 2 packages before telling me "Third party sources disabled... Some third party entries in your sources.list were disabled.  You can re-enable them after the upgrade with the 'software'properties' tool or your package manager.

When I 'Close', it says

Error during update
A problem occurred during the update.  This is usually some sort of network problem, please check your network connection and retry.


W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/apw/jaunty-kernel/ubuntu/dists/karmic/main/binary-amd64/Packages  404 Not Found
, W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/apw/jaunty-kernel/ubuntu/dists/karmic/main/source/Sources  404 Not Found
, E:Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

My network connection is fine for all other uses and this problem has reproduced itself many times in the last several days before I submitted this report.
