[Bug 486284] Re: maxlength not stop long values

I think I was too hasty here.  My test case was for javascript
overriding maxlength, but I found
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=437379 which rejected that
as a bug.  Could you please give up steps to reproduce the case you are
thinking of?
