Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

The primary clipboard is the highlight-then-middle-click one.

How to reproduce:
In about:config, set browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll to true
Open google.com in three tabs.
In the second tab, click on the url bar, the adress is selected.
Go in the first tab, select some letters to have them in the primary clipboard.
Press Ctrl+Tab 2 times to go to the third tab OR go with the mouse to tab 2 then tab 3.
Press middle-click in the search box.
What you expected to happen: The selected words from first tab get pasted
What happened: The google adress get pasted, put in the primary clipboard when you went through the second tab.

(It also works by selecting the search bar instead of the adress bar,
but you have to restart firefox after having changed
browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll.)

It's a misbehavior because there was no user interaction in the second
tab when going by, the last selection made by the user was in the first
tab.

Ubuntu 9.04
firefox: 3.0.15+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1

** Affects: firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
