[Bug 471407] [NEW] Default homepage breaks the back button

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

The default homepage uses Javascript to find the user's preference (I
don't know where exactly it gets it from though), then sets
window.location to redirect there. This inserts _two_ pages (the
redirect and the page that it redirects to) into the history instead of
just one. If you press the home button when you are already viewing some
other page, this means that pressing the back button sends you to the
redirect page, which promptly redirects you to your homepage.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to http://www.example.com/
2. Press the home button.
3. Press the back button.

Expected results: The browser goes back to http://www.example.com/

Actual results: The homepage comes back.

** Affects: firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
