[Bug 378640] [NEW] Firefox complains about memory leak on exit, fails to restart

Public bug reported:

Firefox, when launched from a command line interface and when quitting
the app, produces a long list of complains about memory leak problems.
To make matters worse, usually when I try to again launch firefox a
dialog window appears informing me that that isn't possible due to a
firefox instance being already running.
