You could just use the secure login addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4429
If you middle-click (the scroll button), it logs you out automagically. ;)

By the way, this seems to be related to this upstream bug as well:

..which is there since 2004, I wonder why is it so hard to make it pop up only one password, perhaps some security issues in the way?
