I am having this problem too.

The only add-ons I have enabled are DOM Inspector, Google Gears,
Greasemonkey, and Ubuntu Firefox Modification. I usually have to end up
killing the process from the terminal to get my Firefox to start up
again. It seems to hang when I close it. A dialogue will pop up asking
if I want to wait or force it to quit.
