often this is a problem on provider side. Anyway, these hard to
reproduce issues are unlikely to get fixed in tbird 2; if you have a
chance to test thunderbird-3.0 (+-gnome-support) packages from our daily
repositories we would be happy to hear if this is still an issue there;
tbird developers are just more likely looking at issues that still exist
on their next product.
