assigning to stevenk who seemed to have driven the webfav extension at
some point.

One thing you could check is whether the webfav extensions has bad side
effects from other extensions. Could you check if it goes away if you
only have webfav enabled in tools addons? if so, finding the extension
that interferes would be helpful i guess.
