I found a strange work around for this. On the Adobe website, they state
that they have beta support for 64 bit linux for Flash 10. I downloaded
and installed. When testing, I found my browser was still using Flash 9
with the nsplugin wrapper. The about:plugins page showed both versions
running. I removed all the symlinks pointing to the nsplugin wrapper and
created equivalent symlinks to the native Flash 10 library (NOT
wrapped), and reloaded my browser. To my astonishment, it worked! The
Adobe test page confirmed the new version of flash, as well as
about:plugins and a site that required Flash 10. It looks like Adobe
may have finally gotten off their butts and acknowledged 64 bit linux.
Now, if only Sun would do this with the Java plugin. I've lost count of
how many years we've waited on that.

You're results may vary, but maybe if a few others can confirm, it might be time
for a Medibuntu package for 64 bit non-free Flash with NO nsplugin wrapper. Be
prepared to rollback with Flash 9 and the nsplugin wrapper in case it doesn't
work for you.
