[Bug 220672] Re: Launch application opens with even basic file types

I have experienced this problem before. Right now, on 3.0.7 I am unable
to reproduce either, but it was a 'periodic' problem below this version
as well.

When i started the download, the 'Open' option was checked, and the
application was     "(null)"  this (with the brackets, without the "
).

I certainly had a pdf reader, as i could give its full path, and then FF
opened it.
