I have still this bug in Kubuntu Jaunty with fontconfig 2.6.0-1ubuntu9.
Downgrading to fontconfig and fontconfig-config 2.6.0-1ubuntu5 fixes
this bug. I could not download 2.6.0-1ubuntu6, but in 2.6.0-1ubuntu7
this bug appears again.

A will attach a screenshot showing the difference between the two
version using Firefox 3.
