ok I thought it was today , well i haven't had any problems this morning
with firefox or any apps under ubuntu 8.10 in the last 2 days .  It works
just fine,  I even got some of my windows apps that have no linux
replacement to work..  So it was more than likly that i screwed something up
back on tues the 3rd.  But all is working fine now with ubuntu, just need
more of these pesky one of a kind codecs to be transplanted into linux and
world will be fine.  Sorry for the trouble.
