The ubuntu search page does not provide the same functionality easily. I
would like to be able to search only ubuntuforums.org not the whole internet
with google. In the ubuntu search page and any standard google search page
you must type site:ubuntuforums.org YOUR SEARCH. The advantage to having the
specialized search engine option was to not need to type site:
ubuntufurums.org many times. I think that there is nothing we can do about
this without the search engine found at the link above moving from the old
mycroft website to mozilla's new plugin location.
