I went to a website using Ubuntu 9.04 Alpha 5 64-Bit with all updates as
of today. Firefox indicated it needed some plugin to display the page
(the page used flash banners). The plugin finder service offered the
Adobe Flash plugin, Gnash and Swfdec. I chose Gnash, confirmed and then
Firefox got stuck. The plugin finder service window went all grey (now,
when I move it above the screen, it paints its surroundings all over the
screen). Windows of other programs open very slowly now when I try to
activate them in the task bar. (I used to think this was a multitasking
operating system, how can one single process reduce the whole system to
something like 1/20 of its original speed? It feels like some crashed
proprietary OS 15 years ago now!).

** Affects: firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
