I am using:

harmstrong at dev1:~/svn/trunk/_24_7_internet/oracle/script/patch$ cat 
/etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=7.10
DISTRIB_CODENAME=gutsy
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 7.10"

with firefox version 2.0.0.17

I went to the previously offending page and clicked the BACK and NEXT 
links and FireFox did not crash as before.
