Probably anyone with a working platform can reproduce this; it seemed to
happen consistently.

Could the backtrace be obtained using the relevant debug packages and
the core dump attached to this report?

I'll try and install relevant ddebs and get some more direct
information, but this isn't going to happen immediately...
