Public bug reported:

I have Firefox configured to use "about:blank" as the home page, but
when I create new tabs instead of coming up with a blank page, it now
comes up with Ubuntu Start Page. I do not want the Ubuntu Start Page.
Quite to the contrary of what http://labs.mozilla.com/2009/03/new-tab-
page-proposed-design-principles-and-prototype/ states, when *I* say I
want a blank page, *I* want a blank page! So put me in the same camp as
"Sam C", who wrote: "this user does want a blank page and doesn’t like
having a whole pile of stuff appear that he doesn’t want."

At least the Ubuntu Start Page isn't as bad as the absolutely horrid and
busy garbage in the Firefox proposal.

I suspect that it is this new Multisearch
(http://www.asoftsite.org/s9y/archives/162-What-is-this-Multisearch-
thing-in-my-Firefox-about.html), and I agree with the statement from the
Alexander: "this is not expected to make all happy". Definitely not me.
If you are going to foist this sort of thing off on us, at least give us
a preferences option on the plugin, so that we can configure when this
annoyance does and does not raise its head, short of having to disable
it entirely.

** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
