Thank you for your bug report. Can you help us by answering a few
questions:

Do these wav files play in another media player?

Can you try with some other wav files?

Does the option "Default system sound for new mail" work as expected?

Can you give us some more information on you computer hardware.

If you could post the urls of the wav files, and of the other sites
where the issue was reported, that would also be very useful.
