Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

Certain Arabic script Unicode characters cannot be displayed in Firefox
(or apparently anywhere else in Ubuntu). A range of characters that
cannot be displayed correctly can be seen clearly in the table here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabic_alphabet#Unicode

For example the Unicode characters U+063B, U+063C, U+063D, U+063E and
U+063F cannot be displayed, while U+0630-A display just fine.

Other examples include the the character "Ng" (which is not used in
Arabic itself but in other languages like Uighur). Viewing the Wikipedia
article for this character illustrates the problem:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%DA%AD.

** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
