I have the same problem under OpenSUse 11.1.  Firefox simply disappears
without warning and with no apparent cause.  It even happens when I'm
working in a different window, or when I leave the computer idle.  I
don't even know where to locate any diagnostic information.  Typing
"about:crashes", which I saw as a suggestion, produces an unrecognized
URL.

And this happens very often -- several times an hour or more.
