When using merge proposals on Launchpad I have twice seen corruption
in the textarea that is presented when replying to a comment. For
example:

(This is a private merge proposal so you may not be able to see it.)

The textarea is prefilled with the text of the comment that is being
replied to. However, there are a number of subtle (but consistent)
corruptions:

  * In many places, but not all, the sequence ".in" has been
    lost. Previously I've seen similar redacting behaviour, but for a
    different substring.

  * Double quotes have been added around the whole text.

The source code for the page is correct, so this is definitely a
problem in Firefox. At least, it's not an issue on the server.

I've attached a diff showing the exact changes between the correct
text and the seen text.
