Thanks for responding so fast to my bug report however could to please
clue me into how this relates to the "Ubuntu being mis spelled" bug?

With this bug when you select "etc." as the correct spelling it still
says it's wrong and continues to offer "etc." as the correct spelling.
It will also recursively keep adding dots every time you select the
correct spelling.

Does this happen in the bug that you have marked this bug as a duplicate
of because in my opinion these look like completely different issues.
