This might be worth following up, as it's a very nice feature for someone migrating from Windows? The very first thing I do when moving to a new Windows PC is to transfer my favourites and cookies.
And hopefully this isn't too difficult? The IE export to cookies.txt uses an ancient Netscape format, there's nothing much to it.
Admittedly it's well beyond my programming skills!
