xulrunner-1.9_1.9.0.9+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.10.1_i386.deb fixed the first 
problem but, now,  
xulrunner-1.9-gnome-support_1.9.0.9+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.10.1_i386.deb 
has the 'empty file' reference. So, I still cannot install new 
Thunderbird, nor anything else!
