Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I upgraded to Jaunty today and noticed that after the upgrade, Firefox
was not functioning properly. When attempting to view flash based media
Firefox asked for a re-install of the flash plugins (which were
previously installed and working 100% in Intrepid). I don't know if the
re-install is necessary by design or the error.

I was prompted by firefox to install the 3 flash plugins (gnome, adobe
and one other) and did so without issue. After a subsequent restart,
Firefox still did not play the flash media correctly.

I also did a sudo aptitude purge flash-nonfree and then a subsequent
sudo aptitude install flash-plugin without success.

Again I am upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04. Firefox is 3.0.8.

I don't think I did anything usual to previously get flash to work in
Intrepid other than installing the plugins when prompted.

I will continue to research as I see some posts in the forums are
corroborating the issue.
