  1. Go to >File>Quit - Doesn't quit or present quit options.
  
  2. Type search into Google tool bar search - Doesn't open new tab. Opens
  minimum sized, non-functioning, empty new window instead.
  
  3. Click on Tools> Add Ons - Opens minimum sized empty new window at
  upper left corner of monitor; basically same as item 2.

  Problem occurred immediately after downloading/installing notified
  update, less than 1 hour ago. ~ 9:00 AM U.S. Pacific Time.
