sorry you are right i miss read the year. as i recall ubufox was made so you can use it instead of apt/synaptic/ect... 
Can you please post screenshots of the 2, uninstalling from ubufox and addons.
After posting screenshots here can you please try using a new profile, instructions are on the following link
