[Bug 272900] [NEW] Firefox gets rapidly slow and its window(s) get paralized

I have Kubuntu 8.04. Before, with Kubuntu 7.10 I had firefox permanently
open and it went up and down as I neede it without problems. Now all the
operations with firefox get increasingly slow until every operation is a
tortur. And when I will cancel firefox, mozilla shows its message that
the mozilla-firefox window doesn't respond and if I will continue or
close it. Naturally close!

I have loaded firefox with the Ubuntu installation and have also forced
a re-installation with Adept. Nothing went better. I may use Konqueror
that is fast and has no problems, but I like firefox

Your reporting form says firefox-3.0.1 does not exist in Ubuntu. I will
put here what appears in "About Mozilla Firefox":
