I actually can make my own browser. Or my own operating system. But
that's besides the point. I use Ubuntu because of the freedom. You
apparently use it for other reasons, and that's ok, but I really value
those freedoms.

You can continue promoting Ubuntu to people, because I'm sure a sensible
solution will be found. That's what discussions like these are for, and
that's what Ubuntu has done in the past.
