[Bug 270542] [NEW] Firefox 3.01 unrecoverably hangs Ubuntu 8.04 while editing bookmarks

I imported my html bookmarks file to Firefox 3.01 in Ubuntu 8.04. After
that, trying to edit bookmarks or add any new one dragging it from the
address bar to the bookmarks menu just hangs the complete system
unrecoverably, I have to unclean shutdown each time. Those same
bookmarks work perfectly in Firefox 3.01 for WindowsXP SP2, they are a
lot (approx 1300 bookmarks in several folders) but I don't consider
using less bookmarks to be a solution, I need them.
