Yes, that's the only explanation...  it's my ISP.

..isn't that /dangerous/, passing a non-URL to my ISP?
...ok, this feature has become insanely un-reliable now..  maybe I need to put om.cox.net back into my 'search domains' under my DNS settings...  ok, now it's working.  --but I still can't use OpenDNS, which irks me.

So that's the bug--

Firefox 3 requests non-URL pages from my ISP.  It should /never/ do that.
Quick guide:
if the text has spaces, it's not a URL.  Don't even start to treat it like one.
If it has no spaces and no dot, use Google's I'm Feeling Lucky.

Do _not_ try to append random TLD's and try to get the page that way,
because there is no way to tell /which/ TLD I want without going to
google anyways.  If I don't include a TLD, use google's I'm Feeling
Lucky.
