Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: thunderbird
attempting to set up GMail account in Ubuntu Studio Mozilla Thunderbird.
Downloaded and installed the whole package including all the plugins for
Mozilla Firefox, Thunderbird, and SeaMonkey... but SURPRISED to find
that there is no space for my PASSWORD in Thunderbird, as there is in
the Windows PC version(s). Then, not surprisingly, when I try to "get
mail" having signed up without password, the program merely times out.
Seems remarkable that this is happening, since - aren't the Google folks
intimately involved with developing Mozilla products? WHY would they
leave out so basic a thing as a blank to enter your password? Thanks
for your help! - Thomas Christy
