I've been unable to recreate this (Firefox crashing) when browsing
http://www.tv.com or http://www.anandtech.com or http://youtube.com
(Dustin indicated this was problematic) with the following package
versions.

16:01:41 - flash:[~] apt-cache policy firefox-3.0
firefox-3.0:
  Installed: 3.0.1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu2
  Candidate: 3.0.1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu2

16:01:50 - flash:[~] apt-cache policy nspluginwrapper
nspluginwrapper:
  Installed: 1.1.0-0ubuntu2
  Candidate: 1.1.0-0ubuntu2

For what it is worth I'm using the open source ati driver.
