I am having the same trouble as reported above.  It is pretty annoying.

If I right click very quickly then sometimes the context menu does not
come up.

If I press and hold the right mouse button then sometimes the context
menu appears and disappears.

At first I thought that my mouse was the problem but I have since tried
different mice on both the PS/2 and USB ports and the behavior is the
same.

I haven't noticed the problem afflicting apps other than firefox.

I am running the latest intrepid (apt-get dist-upgrade).
"Disable or replace context menus" is checked.

P.S.: #283644 could be related.
