Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: thunderbird
Thunderbird had hung. Totally non responsive, other windows dragged over
the top of TB would leave copies of themselves where TB was.
This has been happening for a long time. This time I managed to have
debug symbols installed and generate a core dump via a "kill -11".
Have two accessed accounts, one pop3s, one imaps.
Checking date/time stamps etc:
Crash was generated at ~ 19:43
Last seen/modified files in the IMAP Maildir directory on the server or POP3 directory are from
~ 16:59 for POP3
~ 16:49 for IMAP (user modifed)
The IMAP server logs show:
Oct 13 17:00:52 getafix dovecot: IMAP(steve): Connection closed
Oct 13 17:01:47 getafix dovecot: IMAP(steve): Connection closed
Oct 13 17:29:53 getafix dovecot: IMAP(steve): Disconnected for inactivity
Oct 13 17:29:54 getafix dovecot: IMAP(steve): Disconnected for inactivity
Oct 13 17:30:52 getafix dovecot: IMAP(steve): Disconnected for inactivity
Haven't yet looked, but assume there is lots of pop3 email to get,
procmail.log shows there is lots of IMAP mail waiting.
procmail.log shows an (via IMAP) email arrived around the time of the failure:
Mon Oct 13 17:02:19 2008
The previous email at Mon Oct 13 16:48:15 2008, I have read.
The next arrived at Mon Oct 13 18:12:06 2008
