Problem : silent crash after a bit of browsing to various sites, no single specific
Other symptoms: missing scroll bar or scroll bar buttons on the right or the browser.
In general it takes a lot longer to crash firefox when running in gdb but it is still possible as shown in the attached log.

I'm running the nvidia-glx-177 video driver and I suspect that something
is wrong with that one.  The complete KDE 4.1.3 environment that I'm
running is very flaky with graphical artifacts showing all over the
place, especially in kwin, even without any special "compiz like"
effects enabled.

There seems to be something specific about KDE 4.0 that causes these
problems since my complete setup ran ultra-stable on Kubuntu 8.04.
